The Weekly Sundays Photo Challenge: Illuminate people. Use flash or other light sources

Sunday, February 12, 2012

The other day I decided to use the Street Photography Now instruction as a Weekly Sunday Challenge. Most of the people don't understand the importance of using a flash when it is used correctly. Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of continuous light sources, but it is something that I've exhausted over the years. You gotta change it up every once in awhile just so that things can become more interesting. I've went on and looked for people to illuminate. It was hard at some point, but it got easier and easier once I kept doing it. I had a couple of shots that I wanted to use, but since yesterday was a day that allowed full acceptance of this method I took the time to look at what I photographed.

SP #10 / Weekly Sundays

This shot was taken moments before I was asked to leave the permitted area. I was sort of upset, but since I didn't have a parade pass I was okay with it. I just went back to the beginning section of the parade and was able get some more shots. It was fun, but a lot of work.

UPDATE!

Check out Michael Behlen's blog to get his view of the assignment. It will be his turn curating the theme so be sure to check back with us this coming Sunday!!!
