Street Fighter Wasn't There So I'm Not Coming Back / Manchester, Ct / February 2015

So, my wife, brother & I went out one night to hang out with Jen and Bebe at Dave & Busters to meet a guy that Jen met online. It was kind of awkward, but I ignored it and just went along with whatever was going on. The arcade was okay, but it started to get boring after awhile. I took this shot just as a reminder that I was here and that I probably wouldn't want to come back because you can drink and play video games.. I don't think I want to be around that.

WORK TALK

For the amount of things people talk about in the workplace
the simple things that bother them
the descriptions of certain people they hate
they never seem satisfied about anything
and that's probably why i don't invite them to my apartment

Then He Left / Glastonbury, Ct / Feb 2015

It's not often I see this guy lurking around his hometown that I'm still new to. But ever since I met this guy he and I have always tried to find time to hang out. He's been part of all the exhibitions I have thrown over the past few years. And because of him I've met many individuals that are now my friends. Thank you Keith for everything.

SO I BOUGHT THIS. AND I ACTUALLY LIKE IT.

Friday, April 17, 2015

A couple of weeks ago I had a talk with my wife about getting hired to take pictures for other people rather than be self indulgent and photograph for myself all the time. I mean... I shouldn't really care about taking pictures for others, but I think I need to get back into the fold and start getting paid for it. But I couldn't just get any kind of camera. I had owned a DSLR for the longest time and after awhile I hated it. So I got the Fuji x100t.

To be honest this is the first time I was happy about a digital camera. It shoots like my Canon 7 and adds some additions that many digital cameras aspire to be. The viewfinder selections are excellent. I use all three viewfinders to help me focus better on the subject I'm photographing. Not only that the ability to customize your button selects are key. It has other features like certain film presets you can use and video mode, but I don't really need. It.

I'll be shooting with this camera as much as I can as I am still locked into photographing certain projects on film. I'm not sure if I want to present these images anytime soon as I am still getting used to it. That's another thing that I've been on the fence about.

Earlier this year I had made the promise to present "Polaroids". I have also mentioned I wanted to shoot more black and white with the Pentax Auto 110. To be honest it hasn't even been developed.

And here is this digital camera that I have. I've shot a bit with it and the results have been absolutely amazing, but I'm hesitant to even showing anyone this stuff.

So, for the next few weeks I will be debating on this idea. We'll just have to see how I feel.

I MISS YOU CALIFORNIA

Friday, April 10, 2015

As the sun rises through the curtains, emitting parts of my face, I'm remembering those days I kept to myself in the morning on that front porch and waiting for the heat to burn my skin. To nourish the late night drinking with a large cup of iced coffee, a guitar, and a burning cigarette propped on the headstock. I'm in an orange shirt, cutoff pants, barefoot with a naked floor, a dirty couch and a full day of nothing.

These reflections do nothing for me, but they keep coming like they're bad movies you watch on TBS. And they play reruns like late night episodes of FRIENDS. It's impossible to stray away from these things because it's the things I have that keep me awake.

And the morning sun rises higher. I play whatever I play, smoke the last puff of the $5.99 pack, crush it and go inside the house. I watch the rest of my day play out through the window.
