Influenced by the Sartorialist blog I felt that I needed to get myself out there to photograph people and their "fashion" sense. This will help me exercise my approach to people and to get the word out on what the trend is. It's pretty fun and it gives me an excuse to photograph strangers. Thank you Sartorialist for the influence.

It's been a great month for pictures. I've had people hit me up for shoots almost every weekend, so the results have been quite exciting. Not only that I had ordered a new lens last week. A Tamron 17-50mm that will hopefully come in on Monday morning/afternoon. This means the 18-50mm will FINALLY retire. Putting it away for good.... well... maybe not...

In between shoots I've been trying to keep a camera around me at all times. I intended to use this exercise to improve my framing and timing skills. Not sure if the improvements presents itself in the pictures, but I definitely feel an improvement on how I perceive things.

What a great start for the beginning of the year. Goodbye 18-55mm and hello 17-50!

They both have been through a lot. They say it was a blessing to have a child after six years of struggle. It was time to make a change and what better way to do that by having a child to share that experience. Congrats guys. I know you'll do well in the future. Just keep at it.

Only at Teri's Front St. Grill will you experience a good Thursday night. Pretty interesting to see something like this in a small town. The only thing that would be happenin' in Lemoore is house parties and people postin' up at a Jack-in-a-Box. A town I grew up from witnessing a party like this? I'm still in awe.

John Esquivel at Little Leaf Tea

I photographed this individual quite often. This man is responsible for most of the shows I cover in Fresno. I have a lot of love for this guy. He's a radio DJ for 90.7 KFSR Fresno State, a great singer, and known for his booking company Religious Appeal. He's seen many scenes come up and come down and has been involved with the changing culture at such a young age. He helped my band, Elmo Marconi, get in the bill with some great shows such as Tera Melos, Maps and Atlases, and more. I fully respect this man and hope his future career involves music.

Jasper and the Window

Wow the first blog of the year! It's pretty exciting. I think 2011 is the year for me. We will see what happens. But first.... about the photo..

Today, my "son" Jasper was the first subject to be photographed. It had been raining in Fresno for the past couple of days. Jasper and Oliver would sit in this exact spot and just watch the rain fall from the sky. While they observed the outside I would either be blogging about something, drink tea, or clean the apartment. It's been a wet weekend so far and all of us have just been lounging. Hello 2011... I hope your pictures will look like this all the time.

I started a new ranting blog you should check out!
