I was somewhat uncomfortable when I had attended this show. Most of these kids I saw were sort of intimidating, but I got over it when I started photographing. I forgot how technical metal could be. Most of the time I was in awe looking at their fingers rather than taking photos. The crowd was pretty responsive, but I had expected them to be a little more rowdy. I guess you can only find that in hardcore shows.

There are more photos, but it's for SFStation. Have a gander!

It was a great Thanksgiving weekend. A lot of fun moments, indulgence of food, and good vibes all around the house. Since my Mom was able to celebrate with us (last year wasn't so great. She had to work) we were able to eat together and chill. I can definitely say that this was one of the best Thanksgivings I've had in a long time. Bueno Family, friends, and girlfriend definitely made it happen!

It's been a crazy week so far. Actually, it's been a crazy few weeks. I am swamped with so many pictures that I don't even know what to do with it. This semester has been a very productive one. I'm happy to be busy like this.

Anyway, this week Rocky Rivera performed at the Cesar Chavez Student Center and had also attended a recording poet/music/spoken word session at SFSU. This was my chance to take pictures of a person that had influenced me to get into hip hop again. In the classroom I had the opportunity to ask her questions about her success an an M.C., what had influenced her to make her album, and what books had influenced her growing up. It's nice to see a female (let alone Filipina) to try make a change in hip hop and to represent all the womyn M.C.'s in the world. Make it happen Rocky. We are all countin' on ya.

This past weekend was crazy. Lots of fun and good times. Its' always nice to see some friends hang out, play shows, drink tea, and sing some crappy songs. I needed this weekend not only to be with my girlfriend, but to get away from the busy life I have here in Daly City. Thank you guys for the awesome times.
