Disfigurement as a Measurement

Most of the assignments that I created this year were interesting to say the least. I got really busy with this stuff, trying to construct ideas to complete the assignments, hours of pictures that I don't really care about editing. But this particular one... this image... it was something that I don't usually think about constructing. I've been inspired by Vivian Fu as she has been posting up some interesting conceptual diptychs lately. Other than that I kind of wanted to create this image in ode to the disfigurements that society sees in our world through the media bending of health and shape. This is almost a middle finger to their absurd comments about weight and what you should look like.
