Game Center in San Mateo

What happened to all the cool arcades that used to be around when I was about 10 years old? Most of these places were getting shut down due to console systems taking over the market. In the recent years video game enthusiasts have started these new establishments to keep the "arcade" tradition alive. Game Center (along with other video game centers) have created a space to not only bring the kids together to play games, but have also followed the movement of live game streaming and tournament throwing. I honestly think that Super Street Fighter IV is the reason arcades are coming back, but that's my own opinion. What's yours?

I would hope that this place stays alive. It felt nice to photograph something different for a change and especially since it was an arcade. It sort of brought me back when I used to play Street Fighter II Championship Edition and beat all the "big kids" at their own game. I was taught well by my brother Bernard. It was good times.
