I started this body of work of shooting still life images of stuff in the kitchen using the available light I have. That area of my place provides me beautiful light in the morning. I started to create this relationship with the area and started creating work based on my fascination of this light. This was, I think, after breakfast.

It's been a long time since I've seen this fellow. In fact this image was taken a long time ago. In all these years I don't know much about him. He's a homeowner doing his best working two jobs to just maintain. I'm sure this is going to be his life for a bit, but what can you do right? Gotta respect the hustle.

INSTANT PORTRAIT #1

Alright!! Happy New Year everyone!! Finally get to share this body of work I've been doing for the past few months. I gotta say it's definitely ongoing and I think I might even have it overlay for next year.

This guys is name Aaron. I met him at Open Studios Hartford as he was exhibiting some of his silver gelatin printed work. He reminded me of a fellow, Adrian Martinez, and which, surprisingly he knows of. This year I'm hoping to bring him on board and collaborate with him on a couple of projects.
